Clinical Aromatherapy
I am Certified in the Clinical Uses of Essential Oils by Australasian College of Health Sciences in 2006. This in-depth program covers:
- 40 essential oils in depth, chosen for their therapeutic action, and clinical application.
- A variety of health conditions along with appropriate aromatherapy support
- Clinic Management: case taking, the client-therapist relationship, differential diagnosis, and preventative aromatherapy.
- Anatomy and Physiology of the Olfactory, Skin and Muscular systems. This is a "clinical" physiology approach.
- Comprehensive Chemistry, written specifically for students without a chemistry background.
As an adjunct to this program, I also received a Certificate in Aromatherapy Chemistry. This program focused on understanding the physiological effect of chemical constituents found in essential oils.
